Drops
Walkthrough
Defeat Orochi to complete the Assault.
- Less powerful version of Hydra.
- Has a moderate regen rate
- Uses Draw In.
- Heads can be cut off and grow back quickly.
- High resist to dark based magic, Ice Stone Water and Dark
- Uses the following TP moves:
- Barofield: Moderate AoE (250-300) that ignores shadows and does Wind damage; also inflicts very strong Gravity effect. Damage reduced with Baraera
- Trembling: Moderate AoE(can do up to 1k) absorbed by 3 shadows; additional effect Dispel if not enough shadows up to take the TP move.
- Pyric Bulwark: Physical Shield
- Polar Bulwark: Magic Shield
- Pyric Blast: Fire-based breath attack with plague effect.
- Polar Blast: Ice-based breath attack with paralyze effect.
- Nerve Gas: High poison that about 20 damage per tic and Curse, AoE, wipes shadows. Usually starts to use this at 25%(can use as high as 50%).
- Serpentine Tail: A heavy Spike Flail-type move which is used on the primary target which is behind it. (Can be blocked with Utsusemi.) Can use this at anytime, not just in tail mode. This move can be completely avoided by not feeding Orochi any TP during the following phase.
- "Orochi has begun to thrash its tail about.": Emote signal that it has gone into tail-attack mode.
- During this mode, it will proceed to attack you with his tail, which does massive damage but can be avoided with shadows. Giving it TP during this stage will provoke it into using Serpentine Tail. It is recommended that all melees turn away and do not feed it TP. By not attacking, it will quickly return to a calmed state.
- "The thrashing has ceased.": Emote that signals that the above mode has stopped, and will fight normally.

Notes
- There is no map for this Assault. Orochi, a Hydra-type spawns in the middle of an open area.
- Pretty similar to the actual Hydra battle, but with very low HP. And the odd tail-mode.
- Formless Strikes does not go through the Physical Shield, you will still do 0 damage.
- Also doesn't have high resistance to enfeebles.
- Do not plan to wipe and rest on this fight, as the regen can quickly allow the Hydra to regen HP to 100%.
