Walkthrough

  • Talk to Zalsuhm (located inside Muckvix's Junk Shop) with your Scepter Staff from Nyzul Isle equipped for a cutscene. Note that only the base level weapon is required; no upgrades or progress along the Arms of Balrahn questline is required.
    • Note: You can start this while another weapon skill quest is active.
    • Upon examining the weapon, he'll say, "If you've already come to be in p-p-possession of a Runic Key, you can expect stupendous results." This is a hint concerning point requirements reduction.
    • If you choose the wrong answer (saying something like "He has shifty eyes..." which means you don't trust him) he will get very angry and would not start the quest. Do not panic, though. Just zone out and come back again, he'll have forgotten about it and give you another chance.
  • Accumulate a certain number of Weapon Skill Points on your Scepter Staff according to how much progress is saved on your Runic Disc.
    • Runic Key = 250 Weapon Skill points.
    • Level 95 Runic Disc: 580 WS points.
    • Level 80 Runic Disc: 880 WS points.
    • Level 60 Runic Disc: 1760 WS points.
    • Level 40 Runic Disc: 3520 WS points.
    • Level 20 Runic Disc: 7040 WS points.
    • Level 0 Runic Disc: 14080 WS points.
      • Floors in between those shown here will require different amounts according to the floor. (see below)
  • Once you have acquired enough Weapon Skill points, you will see Garland of Bliss available under your list of weapon skills, but only while your Scepter Staff is still equipped. There will be no messages in chat log heralding this, it will simply appear in the list.
    • Only your CURRENT number of floors completed counts. So for example if you received the weapon and started the quest with 90 floors completed, and then did a 91->96 run, you only need 500 WS points to unlock the Weapon Skill. If you already did 500 WS points with the weapon, you will get the WS when the progress is saved to your Runic Disc.
    • Weapon Skill points system will work even if you're under level cap or Level Sync exactly the same as in uncapped mode.
  • Return and trade your unlocked weapon to Zalsuhm. This fully unlocks Garland of Bliss for use with any Staff weapon (as Summoner).
  • Prior to unlocking the weapon skill, returning to Zalsuhm and trading the weapon will provide a rough gauge on how far along you have progressed. As you get closer to unlocking the message, the messages he gives you will indicate your progress:
    • I sense only a mote of energy present. You still have a long way to go.
    • Aaah, yes... I can feel a marked increase in energy compared to when I first held it. Keep up the good w-w-work, hee hee hee...
    • The energy is threatening to burst forth. It won't be long now.
    • You've done it! Energy is overflowing as though the floodgates have burst open!
      • The fourth message only appears after the unlocking is complete, and is followed immediately by unlocking the weapon skill completely.
