The theory of unified crafting is to level several crafts side-by-side, such that the products of one are used by another. This can make leveling crafts much more profitable, enjoyable, and prevent lost gil. This is not to say it is necessarily the cheapest path to level several crafts, nor the quickest. However, it is efficient and can create a better feeling of accomplishment in the long run.
The best method to begin unified crafting is to find several crafts that intertwine, and the most obvious of these are Woodworking, Clothcraft, and Bonecraft. The process of crafting thousands of arrows may seem horribly time-consuming, but it has been well-established as a money-making craft path.
Since we will be making arrows primarily, we can examine arrow recipes. While determining recipes, remember that you can attempt recipes relatively safely at up to ten under the cap, and get skill-ups from breaks beginning at seven under the cap. Here's a list of all arrow recipes under Woodworking 70:

Just looking at those recipes, we can see that there is only one unacceptably large gap in the recipes, between the Bone Arrow and Iron Arrow recipes. We'll get to that in just a moment. First, we're going to rearrange this list, based on the Clothcraft recipes involved:

- Wooden Arrow is absent from the list, yes. The reason is because it doesn't actually use any fletching, just Chocobo Feathers.
Based on just how far we're going to take our Clothcraft and Woodworking, we can note several things about the above chart:
- Apkallu Fletchings are almost impossible to acquire, since no one tends to farm Apkallu. The penguins are increasingly difficult with their unique hate build, and there are better recipes. This makes Paralysis Arrows a poor choice.
