Strategy

Boss Run

  • What you need
    • At least 2 MNK/NIN
    • A few additional melee
      • THF is great for Feint against the boss.
      • DRG is great for Angon against the boss, and the fact the Polearms hit so hard against early mobs.
    • 1 BRD
    • At least 1 WHM (preferably 2)
    • At least 1 RDM/WHM (preferably 2)
    • As many BLM/NIN as possible
    • As many RNG as possible
    • Prefer BLM to RNG, but only in moderation. It's important to divide up cell requirements so you aren't too dependent on magic cells.

Treasure Chest Loot Distribution

  • To be completed

First Floor

  • Time Check: 0 minutes
  • Enter west path. Kill Bifrons until you have 2 weapon cells (Non MNK melee).
  • Kill everything (without going backwards) until you reach the large room at (G-7). Kill the Bifrons, and 3 Trolls. Proceed forward.
  • Kill all Wandering Wamoura and Trolls in the large center room. Magic cells should go BLM > WHM > BLM > free lot mages.
  • Warp to Second Floor.

Second Floor

  • Time Check: 30 minutes
  • Kill the 4 Empathic Flan as quickly as possible. Have someone pull from the surrounding room while a mob is being fought, so there is no downtime between fights.
  • If more than 9 people need magic to function, gather all magic cells after the 3rd one in the zone on a single person.
  • After all Empathic Flan are dead, take the west path on the second floor. If the Slot is not up, bazaar the magic cells that were previously collected and let mages get them and use them immediately.
  • Continue to the southwest portion of the map, killing 1-2 Wandering Wamoura while one person runs ahead to the porter.
  • If the Wandering Wamoura link, kite them around the circular room where the Empathic Flans were fought while one person stands there to pickt hem off.

Third Floor

  • Time Check: 50 minutes
  • Kill only as many Black Pudding as necessary to unlock Subjob and magic for all the BLM. If time is good, you can farm additional INT cells for BLM, MND for WHM and RDM, and STR cells for melee.
  • Exit through the portal in the central eastern section, being careful not to aggro any Archaic Gear or Archaic Gears.

Fourth Floor

  • Time Check: 70 Minutes
  • Have a THF Flee all the way to the teleporter in the northern area of the map, and warp.

Fifth Floor

  • Time Check: 75 minutes (25 minutes remaining)
  • The general idea is a nuke/kite manaburn strategy. BLM should keep Utsusemi and Reraise up at all times. Keep the strongest nukes you can going as heavy and often as possible.
  • The key to this strategy is trading hate. If any BLM has hate for too long, that BLM will die.
  • Designate one person to make a hate /assist macro in linkshell chat.
    • If you have hate run to an corner.
    • If you don't haev hate run away from the person that does, and immediately nuke again.
    • It's important to keep the MP pool full via Ballad and Refresh.
  • When the boss is at 25-30% HP, it will get TP regen, so this is when you melee zerg it to death:
  • Keep in mind it will build resistance to Stun, so it's not wise to use Stun at any point before this rush.
  • White Mages should take care to Erase the Bind inflicted by Inertia Stream, and the Paralyze inflicted by Discharge as soon as possible.

Farming Run

  • What you need
    • Most job combos are fine, as long as they are well-balanced.
    • At least 5-6 melee are recommendedm, and at least 2-3 BLM.

First Floor

Second Floor

  • The North and South Empathic Flans are weak to magic and strong against melee. The East and West Empathic Flans are weak to melee and strong against magic.
  • The goal is to defeating all 4 Empathic Flan while they have spikes on their head.
    • They will go from their initial (no spike) state, to spikes after a certain amount of melee damage.
    • They can go from spikes to no spikes if a nuke is used which doesn't kill it.
    • It is recommended to melee burn them until spikes appear, then do a timed series of nukes when the HP is such that you are sure the enemy will not survive the nukes (keep in mind the difference in magic resistance between east/west and north/south Flans)
    • If a flan goes from Spike -> No Spike, it is not possible to have the spikes come back.
  • When all 4 are defeated with spikes, Dormant Rampart will spawn which takes you to another room.
  • Exit the central area to the west, and head towards the southwest exit, killing mobs along the way if more cells are needed.

Third Floor

  • If time is short, you may wish to Invisible past all the flans on this floor. However, you can get stat cells, Subjob cells, and magic cells from them if you need them.
  • Once in the center area, pull a flan from the south and build TP on it. Set up a Distortion or Darkness chain.
  • When TP is ready, finish it off with nukes and head to the east area.
  • Pull an Archaic Gears from the east room (don't link it), and open with the Skillchain plus as many bursted Freeze II and Blizzaga III as possible.
    • If the Archaic Gears uses Restoral, continue to the 4th floor, as it is no longer possible to pop the rampart.
    • If he is killed before using Restoral, proceed to west side of map and repeat with the other Archaic Gears.
  • When both are defeated without using Restoral, Dormant Rampart will spawn which takes you to another room.
    • Like the previous one, but spawns:
  • Exit the area to the east.

Fourth Floor

  • Archaic Gear on this floor will teleport away under the following conditions.
    • You are aggroed by them, either by sight or by magic.
    • They link with another gear that has been aggroed for any reason.
    • They have not been killed within 60 seconds after being engaged.
  • They will not teleport away if they are pulled (with ranged attack or Ninjutsu).
  • The goal is to defeat all 10 Archaic Gear without any of them teleporting away.
  • When all 10 are defeated without warping, Dormant Rampart will spawn which takes you to another room.
    • Like the previous one, but spawns:
  • Use Fireflies when done, as there is nothing left to do.
