Name History

I still don't fully remember how the name "Eithin" came into existence exactly. I know I spent quite a while going through tons of randomly generated names that all didn't seem right. It may have been that this name eventually popped up in the name generator, but it may also have been that I compiled this name out of several options the generator presented me with. Either way, I thought the somewhat gaelic appearance of this name suitable for my intended first main job of White Mage. After two years of playing Final Fantasy XI, I'm still a hardcore White Mage and I still think this name has been a good choice.

Name History

I somehow wanted my first (and currently only) mule character to be a Windurstian Tarutaru. Windurst and the Tarutaru have always had something of a Japanese atmosphere or style to me, so I wanted my mule to have a Japanese name. The random name generator came up with Tachin (if I remember that correctly), and I altered it to Tashin. Tashin (他心) is Japanese for "secret purpose", which seemed funny to me at the time.

Purpose

I created this mule for the purpose of storing gear. When I started taking up new jobs, such as Beastmaster at first and later Bard, I found I didn't have enough Mog Safe space to store all that gear. Tashin was created to store most of my lower level White Mage gear for the time being, so I could safely buy gear for my two new jobs. Later on, as I leveled Cooking further, I started storing surplus ingredients and food for later use on Tashin. Currently, I keep most of my armour pieces on my main character (enhanced by the bigger Mog Safe, Gobbiebags and recently Mog Locker) and use Tashin mainly for storing batches of, for example, Pie Dough and Tarutaru Rice.
