I will admit, though I am a stickler, I am not perfect. I will make the occasional mistake. However I seek to prevent them by employing both a spell checker (standard issue) and, when I am unsure, I will check to make sure it is correct. I take the highest precautions before saving my pages, and I will accept rebuke when it is due. I do not expect this to happen often.

Grading

A = 90+

B = 80-89

C = 70-79

D = 60-69

F = You suck, and probably shouldn't be contributing to an encyclopedia. Read a book.

(+) = The top 3% of that letter grade (i.e. B+ is 87-89)

(-) = The bottom 3% of that letter grade (i.e. C- is 70-72)

Gross spelling error	If I can't readily understand what word you meant to use. "If you glipzt over to the side." (WTF?)	5 points
Minor spelling error	Small words that shouldn't be misspelled. Teh instead of The (Come on, pay attention, most computers fix this for you now)	3 points
Spelling error on a long word	Ostentacious instead of Ostentatious (I understand, it's a big word)	2 points
Spelling error on a homonym	There instead of They're Except instead of Accept (Even I mix these up sometimes)	1 point
Using the wrong word	Purpose instead of Propose (Mistakes happen, but different words are different words)	2 points
Gross grammar error	If I can't make heads or tails of your sentence. Yo dus, if u cnt gu that wey than you jist cant do ti. (This person should probably be shot for crimes against the written word)	5 points
Missed or mistaken punctuation	"After you head down you should take your first right then a left." (For those that missed the class on this one, the commas should be placed after "After you head down" and "your first right")	0.5 points
