Background

I have recently come back to FFXI after spending some time on WoW. While WoW is a fun game and I will definately go back one day to finish off some stuff I never got to do the amount of annoying kids has driven me back to FFXI to start doing what I set out to do - Make a galka summoner.

Before quitting to move to WoW, I spend alot of time switching between chars something I hated. Now I have my mind set on one thing - Having a galka in full SMN relic gear. I did not wish to go back to Caitsith as it no longer felt like home and so after trawling the alla forums for a server that seemed less "hardcore" than most I found Pandy.

Expanding on that, I _hate_ people who seem to have fogotten this is a game. You're here to have fun and if people are going to whine and complain because I dont have <insert peice of stupidly hard to get or expensive peice of equipment here> I really don't want to know them at all. People complaining cause "n00bs" have caused them to lose their precious EXP at level 10 in the dunes do my head in, it wouldn't kill them to just stick it out and explain to new people and actally try enjoying the game rather than trying to get out of the dunes within the hour...

But I digress...I'm back, I'm going to become a galka mage and i'm going to enjoy the game while I do so.

FFXIclopedia

FFXIclopedia is like... my god of FFXI. *laugh* I spend more time than anyone trawling the many pages, clicking random links which lead me somewhere else or to totally something different to what I actualy wanted to find. The craft pages have helped me greatly in crafting in FFXI as its the one thing I do alot. I am also _very_ fond of the new "how-to" pages. Because unlike most guides they do not tell people to do one thing and only one thing but rather give people a basic idea and let them make the other choices.
