Lheaa's mother died in the Crystal War, so she was raised by Humes in a relatively unknown fishing village in Mindartia. She grew up never knowing her clan name, so she only has a first name, like Humes. On her twenty-first birthday, she left her small home, and made the treacherous long journey to Windurst to find her clan name from the Star Sibyl.
