Mercenaryx (Not to be confused with the one who resides in Remora) is a young white male residing in New York state in the United States of America. His official name is John but due to the consistency of tradition, his parents always called him by his middle name -- David -- and he came to prefer it over his first name. Born on February 11th, 1988 he currently lives the peaceful, though stress filled life of a full time student at college and as part time McDonalds employee for 2 and a half years. Ironically known as the 'Dark Knight of few words' he has anything but a deathly silence with a word processing speed that is practically second to none. These abilities shine through most when time draws to go telewhoring in populated cities in Final Fantasy 11 online. His character name -- Mercenaryx -- was derived from the title of the increasingly popular novel hes working on: Mercenary X. The character's appearance on Final Fantasy XI is based off the main character in this first person fantasy thriller.
First setting foot on Bastokian soil on December 26th, 2005, Mercenaryx began his aspiration to take Dark Knight to level 75 and to become one of the most well known players in Kujata with the job. (It is also believed he might of meant to become one of the most well known Dark Knight in the entire game.) Despite his slacking off, leveling other jobs on the side, problems at home, in school, at work, and in relationships, in March of 2008 his Dark Knight achieved level 75 and proudly possesses all of his job specific merit traits and job abilities.
Mercenaryx, while not possessing any extravagant or exquisite quality equipment, has such a passion for Dark Knight that instead, it shines most through his performance on the battlefield. His original skill and even somewhat questionable tactics are noticed in experience point and merit parties almost immediately. While the typical Dark Knight or other damage dealer of similar qualities tends to wait until the end of a battle to unleash powerful weapon skills, Mercenaryx has mastered the balance between hate and damage to the point where he can confidently unleash weapon skills almost as soon as he has enough TP. Most people would think this would hurt a party invite rate, or at the very least a characters experience points. Mercenaryx however, continues to be a constant advocate of favoring fast and intense damage dealing. His party invite is still quite favorable however, and despite fitting the stereotypical DRK image, his weapon skills do not result in kamikazes 95% of the time.
