Introduction
Hello there.
Who This Guide Is For
- If you want a route from WAR1 to WAR75 involving a minimum of gear upgrades while maintaining an optimal contribution to your group, usually via maximizing your DoT, this guide ought to help.
- Though not currently present, there are plans to add a soloing section to this guide.
Who This Guide Is Not For
Anyone trying to be the best Warrior possible or looking to level Warrior on the Really, Really Cheap. This guide doesn't have the absolute best gear listed, because that stuff is expensive and while what's listed isn't the best, it's good enough you won't be getting called 'gimp'. Except by that one guy, but that's because he's a jerk.
Support Job Selection
Very simple job/sub path:
New Character: start on Monk
MNK 1 → 18
Support Job Quest
WAR/mnk 1 → 37
Ninja Quest
NIN/war 1 → 37
WAR/nin 37 → 75
Done.
Equipment
Critical Gear Not necessary (Optional)
DO NOT continue past levels with Critical Gear listed without that gear.
Gear listed as 'not necessary' is superior to other gear, it is usually equipment you would want before beginning the hunt for endgame equipment, but it not required while leveling. If you have any gear listed as 'not necessary', skip any gear upgrades not listed as Not necessary or Critical Gear.
Optional gear is exactly that.
Equipment listed in this color is only for weapon skills.
With weapons, rings, and earrings, '/' means 'and' while '|' means 'or'.
Endgame Weapons in order of preference:
- Maneater/Joyeuse
- Woodville's/Maneater | Woodville's/Joyeuse
- Maneater/Tabarzin | Woodville's/Tabarzin | Tabarzin/Joyeuse
- Tabarzin/Tabarzin
