Cargo Crab Colin loot
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php?title=Cargo_Crab_Colin&curid=3873&diff=475095&oldid=469897 This crab drops multiples of the same item that was not an error. This sort of thing is a purely cosmetic display problem of the drop rate template. As discussed here: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Drop_Rate#Multiple_Drops_of_the_same_item --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 07:50, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Seems to me that there's still dispute over that, and the fact that the article states that multiple can drop, there shouldn't be any confusion about that. Rates > 100% just seem illogical to me, esp. when multiple drops are noted. --Azulmagia 16:11, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Images
Do not remove picture replace tags unless the image has been properly replaced, thank you. --CharitwoTalk 16:44, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Then actually explain what's so wrong with it, eh? Try reading the Image Standards; I couldn't see anything wrong. --Azulmagia 16:47, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Name is distorted? You can tell that to SE, then, it's an unaltered font. I see no rule against cropping or a minimum resolution. Please explain yourself, so I can actually, you know, know what's right or wrong. Because apparently the image guidelines aren't enough! --Azulmagia 16:57, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- The replacement tag isn't hurting you, is it? Are you bleeding profusely? Hey, sarcasm is fun. Seriously, it's not like I'm outright deleting the image, it's perfectly fine until someone happens to get a better one. I never said it was an altered font, and higher resolution pics are more desired because they can be seen more clearly. Not everyone has perfect vision. Leave it. --CharitwoTalk 17:10, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- If I still have the original image, I can crop less of it, but I can't do anything about the font; there's less spacing between the letters on Xbox vs. PC. But I can't take screenshots on PC (char. models are messed up), so the best I can do is Xbox. --Azulmagia 17:13, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Dropping Like Flies
If you still have the data, could you post on my talk page what items dropped on each of your runs, so I can figure out what groupings the Mannequin Body and Dispel belong to, thanks ^^. --Jawat 18:13, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Do not
- Arbitrarily move the {{testimonials}} template. It goes on the same line, not below.
- Berate other editors in the edit summary or otherwise.
- Move categories to the bottom of pages, they belong at the top.
Thanks for understanding. --CharitwoTalk 23:05, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- 1. Then what, exactly, is the point of the testimonial template? Why not just link the text instead?
- 2. I'd rather them say something to me.
- 3. Let's accuse me of things I never did! — Azulmagia | T/CSite 02:47, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- EDIT: Sorry for coming across as so hostile, just felt really annoyed about having all my stuff undone. I glanced over the talk page for the template and I just don't feel like it works there. Maybe capitalise the S or something.
- We have a generic killable by then the template, the template itself IS a link. This is our convention, you need to follow it. There is a reason more than one person was changing it back.
- No, you will not abuse the edit summary, or you will be blocked. Utilize talk pages and user boards like everyone else.
- Diffs do not lie.[1]
Also, DO NOT reset drop rates and DO NOT change the way the template works for the multiple drop rate, you are messing things up. Thanks. --CharitwoTalk 21:44, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
1. ... I understand that. I do not understand the reasoning behind it. All I did was make suggestions.
2. Fine.
3. I honestly have no idea how the categories got to the bottom there. It may have been a cut/paste error. If that's the only example you can provide, whereas I have put categories at the top in every other instance, I would rather hope you would simply dismiss it as a mistake and not intentional.
4. Why am I being singled out? Where are you on the talk pages everywhere else saying not to? I thought we were going for uniformity on the NMs. Quit just saying "You're doing it wrong" and give actual reasonings. — Azulmagia | T/CSite 22:23, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- EDIT: Just read what you said on Talk:Falcatus Aranei. Way to confuse people. Maybe some people like knowing the probability of how many of a certain item will drop. Given that Spider Webs are a profitable drop/synth item, a drop rate for each individual web gives the player a better idea as to how likely they'll get how many. All I see there is that I have a 101% chance of getting up to 3 webs which doesn't help in the slightest. Maybe I'll just leave anyways.
And yes, you are singling me out. I see nothing related to this subject on User talk:Anthoron. I'd also like to point out Goblin Archaeologist. Since you're so hasty to just undo everything I do without actually thinking and understanding people might actually like it that way, and you failed to respond to any other people on that talk page, it only shows that you don't read the talk pages: you simply just do whatever.
- No, we have certain conventions and I'm preventing people from playing monkey see monkey do. --CharitwoTalk 00:03, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Conventions that are set in permanent stone are bad ones. You are still not giving me any real reasoning as to why what we suggested is bad. — Azulmagia | T/CSite 00:06, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Because it perverts the true drop rate. --CharitwoTalk 00:13, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

- No, it means you have a 101% chance of getting between 1-3 webs. --CharitwoTalk 00:48, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Why would anyone prefer knowing only that they'll get 1-3 webs when they can know the probability of getting 1, 2, or 3? That is what we are saying. — Azulmagia | T/CSite 00:51, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
