Avatar Legends
While I've been a huge defender of the stories being fake, upon rereading and comparing dialogue from Carby, Yve'noile, and Perih, it seems, well, I'll say what I added to Category:Avatars:
"There exists two beings for each protocrystal avatar: one that is one of the original gods, and the other is a living being (as seen in the avatar legends). During the Meltdown, the energy of the protocrystals (or some other sources of elemental energy that the Zilart extracted from the five mothercrystals) was simultaneously released. Over the centuries, that energy accumulated inside the bodies of the living beings on this planet, causing them to crystallize. Thus they took the form of the protocrystals with the celestial avatars residing. The avatars' souls are probably that of the gods where their body is that of the lifeforces they "merged" with."
Of course there is still the possibility that the people of Vana'diel twisted some of the facts (if any) into what they wanted. The whole "Altana inviting them into paradise" I'm sure is false, much like the people/beastmen creation story. Anyway, I would say the original gods are the 8 non-Altana/Promathia statues in the Hall of the Gods (they don't look that much like Dawnmaidens upon further examining). --Joped 20:59, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
Nyzul NMs
Just curious, why did you bring back some verification tags on several Nyzul Isle Investigation NMs? I would imagine that user encountered them and thus verified their existence. --Joped 18:12, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
According to this you did. Maybe you were looking at a previous edit thingy and began to edit that instead of the article? That or I fail at reading page histories. --Joped 22:27, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
