When The Quantity is None or Unknown
When you are taking sections from the Item Template and you find that the Item that you are editing/making a page for has nothing that should go in one of the sections, you can write ''None'' - It should look like this: None in every section except: Used in Recipes and Obtained from Desynthesis in which case None should be written like this *''None'' and look like this: *None. This should only apply to things above the How to Obtain section. Anything below there that doesn't apply can be taken out as needed.
If you are Unsure or if you think there may be something that belongs in a slot but don't know for sure you can write ''Unsure'' or ''Unknown'' which should look like: Unsure or Unknown. The same rules apply as above with None. It should look like that in every section except: Used in Recipes and Obtained from Desynthesis in which case Unsure & Unknown should be written like this *''Unsure'' & *''Unknown'' and look like this: *Unsure & *Unknown. And this only applies to things above the How to Obtain section. Anything below there that doesn't apply can be taken out as needed.
If you have any other issues with using the correct Item Template please see: New Members Guide by Birgitte or FFXIclopedia: How to use the Item Template and other useful Editing Tips. Thank you. --Nynaeve 20:15, 24 September 2006 (EDT)
Sorry about that; I did actually read your template help, but probably deleted a bit too much from the template in the sections you mentioned. I'll take it into account when doing the other sets. --Eithin 05:41, 25 September 2006 (EDT)
I was feeling kind of down and I looked at your User Page and saw my helpful page template and my two favorite helper pages and thought... *sniffles* that is so lovely *sniffles* --Nynaeve 20:09, 25 September 2006 (EDT)
Well, everyone should really read those two pages at the very least. It's not such a big effort to follow the guidelines and it makes providing high quality information so much easier ^^ --Eithin 20:19, 25 September 2006 (EDT)
Armor Sets
New Armor sets are named after their body piece, unless they're storable, which would change the name to correspond to the key item given when stored. Thank you for understanding. --Chrisjander 15:10, 7 March 2007 (EST)
Exactly, named after the body piece. If we find out later that they're storeable (hopefully they are), we can move it to the appropriate name. --Chrisjander 19:04, 7 March 2007 (EST)
New Armor
Thanks for making the changes on the ones I posted. --Amujaahideen
Blackbeard
I can't confirm the same for Silverhook, though one could assume it's the same. Camping it with a WHM friend of mine, we set our home point in Mhaura, and warped after each boat ride. We killed it once, no drop. Then warped, and the next ride he spawned again.
Have some questions
Im not sure if I am going about this the right way <.< but, I was wondering if we could add an Emoticon page. There are many emoticons in use particularly by Asian players that many people are lost on. I think that maybe making a page with all the emoticons used in general we could help to overcome the communication barrier between players from all over the world. If I wanted to start something like that, would I be allowed to do it here and how would I go about it?

weapons per Roger talk
I'm already in the process of going through his contribs for consistency, as bots aren't very consistent(sometimes they can forget something and/or change the wrong thing). I'm fixing things as I come across them. --CharitwoTalk 10:56, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
Talekeeper's Gift
Taken care of, thanks. People knocking my superior wording skills :(
Thanks for getting those Welcomes too, saves me a lot of time :D --CharitwoTalk 17:22, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
My Guide
Thank you for fixing what that person did... I guess even if I include it on talk pages it doesn't help. . . Either way - thanks. ^.^ Birgitte
thanks
thanx eithin--MercenaryX 21:57, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
eithin the colon thing isnt working as you said. did you mean to do :
- Dark Knight (spaces here) 67 in my code or? because it isnt working. --MercenaryX 22:02, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
sorry eithin thats exactly what i tried and even what you did didnt turn out the way i wanted it lol. i think you missunderstand, i WANTED all those spaces between the job names and the levels, i wanted the list of all the job levels to line up neatly in a straight vertical line but as it looks now i guess i'll just have to add "."'s following after the name of each job until the area i want that jobs level to be. what you did was get rid of the dotted line box which is 1 thing i wanted but then you got rid of my spaces proceeding the job names to the level which i didnt want. so i guess i'll just have to do something more like:
Dark Knight....67 instead of trying to get the spaces between "Knight" and "67"
thanks for trying anyway.
MercenaryX 13:56, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
yes i do want the spaces, dont worry bout me being confused at table markup i know my way around html (i took a 1 year long course) enough. i did know i could use table markup but i figured there had to be an easier way than going thru all that crap to do it. i know theres an easier way to do it when you're typing in regular html code, so i figured wiki would be no different. but it seems i was wrong. lol. but thanks anyway.

Thank you for the clean up on Blue Magic. I'm a bit new to this, and wasn't sure if strikeout is even remotely appropriate. :) Dontae
Regarding your new name
You'll have to contact TOR about anything related to the move. I, unfortunately, have no clue how the software/database actually runs behind the scenes, and he's in charge of all that technical stuff. --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 22:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
thanks - userpage fix
Thanks for fixing up my userpage after Ryko-whatever mucked with it. --Volkai 03:48, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
fyi
Don't think your picking up of watching RC log has gone unnoticed, keep up the good work. --CharitwoTalk 23:03, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Nice to see you active again. :) --CharitwoTalk 10:03, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Ose
Hi there - I simply reverted the edit, if you still have the data feel free to add it back :) --Leuqarte 16:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Nue
You can stop revising the edits I make to Nue's drop ratio. I have been camping him all weekend. If idiots fail to update =both= types of drops, then I will make the edit to the page just like I have done to every other NM I've ever edited, including BCNM's in general. I will change the amount of times the monster was defeated to match the higher of the two numbers. It is not my fault that idiots make changes to one item and exclude data to the other. Since you don't want me to make changes to this NM because of that reason, I took it upon myself to through in a guesstimation number for the secondary drop on this NM. I do advise you before you make any more changes, that if you persist in warring over my changes, you had better go edit the other 200 NM pages I've had to do this on. --Overgryph 08:35, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Exp
So by reading the definition on the 'Prohibited Articles' page, it says "Redirects for commonly used and in-game abbreviations is allowed." So would that make a redirect for EXP chain acceptable since it is in game? If so how would I go about doing that? --Firewall 19:59, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Ya i had already found the wiki code shortly after posting the above i just wanted the OK from someone before doing so, thanks Eithin. --Firewall 20:24, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for spamming your page, but apparently Charitwo already deleted it back in Feb, so I'm gonna talk with him about it. --Firewall 20:31, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Patroller
You're a pretty prolific editor on the wiki, and you've been here for a while. So the admins have agreed to promote you to patroller. With this, your edits will now be auto-patrolled (meaning nobody has to check then, since you know what you're doing), you can patrol edits on Recentchanges, and if you see vandalism or improper edits, you have the ability to roll those back. Thank you for your continued contributions! --CharitwoTalk 13:57, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Congrats Eithin! --Leuq 15:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Re: DemetrisGilgamesh
I believe the second edit was to correct the previous edits i mentioned on his talk page, which I had already done... thanks. I have reverted the last edit back.
--Leuq 22:22, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Campaign Op Redirects
All Campaign Op redirects in the syntax of "Op Name (B)" "Op Name (S)" "Op Name (W)" are allowed because that is how they appear in-game. But due to our naming conventions, abbreviations are expanded, so the redirect is useful for search purposes. --CharitwoTalk 13:08, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Quadav Updates
Why did you remove the Beastmen's Seals and Water Crystals from the drops pages I just added a few hours ago? Thearchitect 19:10, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Chocobo Knight
Hey thanks for pointing out that mistake I made. I had no idea that leaving the Categories in there would have been a bad thing. It's been fixed and now I know so I won't screw it up again! haha
