Help:FAQ

Since edit summaries are only so long. I reiterate, it's not against the Terms of Service. It's a clientside change and not a side-wide one that affects all users, both logged in and not (e.g. using Common.css to hide ads which is definitely against ToS). However, a clientside change, not only to affect a single user's personal preference on viewing ads (this FAQ is for everyone, not just logged in folks, so anonymous people learn from it too). Please check your facts before you blindly revert, and it's not even about just not viewing ads. The Firefox and addon combo are also a good security measure altogether. It makes for a safer (and not just eye appealing) browsing experience. Wikia gave logged in users a choice, so can we. The right way. --CharitwoTalk 11:00, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Portal tab-switching

Please refer to w:c:wow:User talk:Kirkburn#Portals re-working, you might to want to evaluate that design question yourself. And if you reply, please do so on my WoWWiki talk page or on wowwiki IRC, I'm not going to check here. --Pcj (TC) 03:59, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Rabntah vs. Yow Rabntah

# 16:32, 19 June 2008 Gahoo (Talk | contribs | block) Rabntah moved to Yow Rabntah ‎ (revert)

Both of these have seperate entries in the DATs, both in the same zone. But it's a cutscene only NPC. --CharitwoTalk 02:49, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Template:AH

I see you're adding the icon to the AH template instead of the long text mess (I heartily approve). However, I just changed the AH template to fix a minor oversight, and the code you're working with does not include the change I made. I'm not sure how it's going to react to your use of another template, so I figured I'd just point out the oversight and you can include the fix in your revisions.

The original code (which you copied), includes the FFXIAH tag always when the template is used. It should only use the tag when the item is salable on the AH. I fixed this on Template:AH by adding an additional #if statement for the tag. Not sure how stuffing your template through an #if will work, so I'll leave it up to you. Stubborn Dredvodd / 100% drop item disagreement

Me and Charitwo disagree on how r/e items should be tallied in NM drops. Since A r/e item cannot drop if you/everyone is in possesion of the item, I do not think the item's droprate should be updated. Because if the item is a 100% drop, and you kill the NM 20 more times and update the droprate, it will skew the true droprate. For more details on what we're disagreeing over, please look at our talk pages and the revision history for Dredvodd. Please let me know how you think this issue should be handled so I can contribute information correctly. Thanks. --Jawat 21:21, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

It's not a disagreement. It's how the template is used correctly. If an item drops 100%, it must be labeled as {{ Drop Rate|100% }}. If the item is exclusive and it drops 100%, it must be labled as {{ Drop Rate|100% }}. If an item is exclusive and it does not drop 100%, it must be tallied evenly with all other items regardless of whether or not people still had it. That still counts as a "no drop." --CharitwoTalk 21:37, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
But in the case of Dredvodd, I'm certain that the belt is a 100% drop, but there isnt enough data collected yet to determine that for sure and use {{ Drop Rate|100% }} . By added in data that shows it as not dropping (because I already had the item), it would be impossible for anyone to come to the conclusion that it is, in fact, a 100% drop. --Jawat 21:41, 21 August 2008 (UTC).
Then we need a verification for that particular issue (100% or not 100%). That's easy. My point in this matter is about Exclusive drops in general, not just your issue on whether or not the belt is a 100% drop. That wasn't what I was referring to. --CharitwoTalk 21:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I posted on Talk:Stubborn_Dredvodd#Drop_Rate_Issue. --GAHOO t/ c 21:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Template Fun/Help v. 2

Sorry for not responding. I've had both computer and internet problems the past few days, so I wasn't able to get online and check the wiki. I'm not sure how you ended up solving the problem, but in the future, if you have an issue with using wiki-style headers, you can always resort to using the old "<h1></h1>" - "<h5></h5>" header tags (this also allows for adding styles to the headers without having to put div tags around them). Since the angle brackets aren't used for anything in wiki notation (aside from being "greater than" and "less than", obviously), you can avoid some issues by using them in place of the equal signs. ~ Karuberu 23:57, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Habalo's Eclogues

I screwed up naming 8 articles. All eight "Habalo's Eclogue"s are named "Hablo's Eclogue" (Note the missing second "a") --Lordshadow 19:53, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
