Ribbons

(The symbols at the end of Campaig Ribbons in-game are actually the contour integral (∮; U+222E), not the section sign (§; U+00A7).)

Are you sure? Some computers or systems may not support symbols like "§" among others not in their character map and will display them like this "∮" instead. I do not have these ribbons yet myself, but the "§" makes a lot more sense than "∮". --CharitwoTalk 17:00, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

That page maps "8793 = U+222E: CONTOUR INTEGRAL" which is displayed as "§" which is the value you said it display in the dats as. Be that as it may, we still list them as they are displayed in-game, someone who originally linked these values saw them as "§§§§". And I appear, even from work, to be able to search for either character. End-result being we should have the main page at "XXX ITEM SYMBOLS", and "XXX ITEM" redirect to it. --CharitwoTalk 17:59, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm certain, it displays in Gahoo's screenshot, the char map, on this wiki, my screenshot both here and at home as "§". And I meant these items, whichever symbol they really are the main article, and the ones without symbols appended to them are redirected to the ones with. --CharitwoTalk 18:36, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I can check on more computers, but I'm pretty sure it will display in-game as "§". What it displays in-game is what it should be displayed here on the wiki. And I'm pretty sure SE meant for it to be displayed the way I'm seeing as opposed to a character that pretty much resembles a box. Remember the titles Gold Ballistar*****? I think this is along those lines, but they used a symbol that has much more discrepancy displayed on different systems. (I wonder what it will look like on Ps2 or 360) Is that ("§") what you see in me and gahoo's images? --CharitwoTalk 19:26, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Ohhh, I see the difference now, slight, but yes a noticable difference. I guess that's what the person who linked the article must be seeing what I'm seeing. I don't think I ever got to see the correct character at home, all I saw was "§". I'll take a look at home and see if I can see the correct symbol. --CharitwoTalk 21:09, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
