You're doing an excellent job with the item pages you are adding. But you are forgetting to add some key things.

Please make sure to include the categories when you make your pages, if applicable. Also, when making pages for +1 items, make sure you use a capital P in "Plus 1" so that others don't need to move the pages in the future.

E.g. Bishop's Robe +1 --Chrisjander 08:40, 11 June 2006 (PDT)

Whoops, sorry about that. I was reading part of the "code" wrong, in respects to the categories. --Kyrial 09:07, 11 June 2006 (PDT)

There is now a shortcut for the resist icons (like Resist Wind Resist Vs. Wind)

Before you used +3, but now you can use Resist Ice +3

Just a little simplification that's been made to make everyone's life easier. Enjoy :) --Chrisjander 21:27, 15 June 2006 (PDT)

Desynthesis

So far you are doing really really well. I noticed though that your Desynthesis parts are different then the Item Templates. Just thought I would point that out. You can see the small modifications I made on the pages you recently made. Overall they were good. If its an Item that stacks you put the x 1 or x 2 or x 3 after the Yeild or the HQ, but if its a weapon or Armor that can't obviously be stacked there will never be more than one synthed at time and therefor its not needed to write Loyalty Earring +1 x 1 for example. Mostly we have been putting Italics around the Item whose page it is in the Synth part and at the very Bottom if there is no other way but crafting to obtain the Item we write Crafted Only!. But seriously, overall yours are really good and the errrors very minimal and easily changed. Keep up the good work!! --Nynaeve 12:08, 22 June 2006 (PDT)

Your Quest Log

FYI. I am about to move your quest log to User:Kyrial/Quest Log. --Gahoo 10:58, 8 August 2006 (EDT)

No problem. I would have done it myself, but I wasn't sure how. --Kyrial 15:10, 8 August 2006 (EDT)

I was looking around to see if the Valkurm userbox got any actual trafic, and you are the first person I see (other than myself) that is using it. Vindication! --Just Bri Thanks 13:15, 6 September 2006 (EDT)

Good job!

Nice to see someone else from Quetzalcoatl here, keep up the good job! That skill up guide of yours is one of the best. See you in game. --Pook 00:19, 24 September 2006 (EDT)

The Big List of Status Effects

Please see my comments on the page Talk:The Big List of Status Effects. Feel free to complete your guide in the designated format. --Mierin 14:17, 6 December 2006 (EST)

Quest Subpage Changes

You may or may not notice that I did some corrections on your Quests subpage, due to several redirects that were deleted, I altered some capitalization, etc... with some of your quests so the would be working links again. Just a little note in case you started wondering why I was in your history. --Charitwo 09:29, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

Thanks! :) --Kyrial 16:38, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

Delete tag

When replacing images with new versions for files that violate the image policy, please make sure you tag the old file that you replaced with the Delete template so that the old versions are deleted. Thank you! --ЩåΫķẮ †Talk† 13:22, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

Ah, will do. Thanks for the info. :) --Kyrial 15:18, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

Ampersand

FFXIclopedia:Software Limitations. The & symbol, as well as a couple others, cannot be used as article or image names. Thank you for understanding. --Chrisjander t/ c 12:54, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

Awesome page, just wanted to say hi. --Washuotaku 18:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Verification

I noticed you have removed the verification tag from the Nanban Kariginu article. However, despite claiming the information is false, you have left it there in the article. If a claim has been debunked, it is no longer necessary to include it in the article. You can remove the information, and include your reason for removal in the Edit Summary right above the save button. Since you claim it has been proven to be false, it would also be helpful to provide a link to the test where the claim was disproven. Thank you for your contributions. --Chrisjander t/ c 01:00, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

The test was posted right on the discussion page for it. --Kyrie 02:12, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Images

+ may be used in file names, no need to omit it. --CharitwoTalk 22:49, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

If you replace an image, please mark the old one for deletion (e.g. Replaced by ) so that we can know to delete it and can view the new image without leaving the page. --CharitwoTalk 16:09, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Edits

I know you know better, and I'm not going to slap a Show Preview on a patroller, but treasure caskets updates are no different than drop rates, you don't need to be spamming edits. Save all your edits up and edit the page all at once when you're done with caskets in that zone. --CharitwoTalk 01:19, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Just in case you didn't know

Hey Kyrial,

The admins have agreed to promote you to JrSysop. Due to your contributions and activity within the project, we feel you would benefit from having these extra privileges and hope you put them to good use.

With JrSysop, in addition to your rights as patroller. You can now delete, protect, and move pages. You can also view pages that have been deleted and undelete them (if necessary).

As far as protocol goes for deletion discussions, generally we let delete discussions run about 2 weeks unless the discussion is still active. If the consensus is to delete, the page is deleted and the talk page is moved to FFXIclopedia:AfD Discussions/Pagename and placed in Category:AfD Discussions. If the consensus is to keep, the afd discussion is moved to a subpage of the talk page (e.g. Discussion ). SDelete requests are done at the discretion of the admin who handles them and dont require any discussion or talk archive moving unless a strong opposition is brought up agaisnt it.

For move requests, if its a spelling or a typo error or how it appears in-game(or in inventory), it usually taken care of without discussion, and can be speedily moved. If its a request about how something should be named that is controversial amongst the community, then obviously there will be a discussion. Once determined, the talk page is moved to move discussion.

All FFXIclopedia:AfD Discussions/Pagename, Discussion, and move discussion need a talkarchive template placed at the top of them.

With being an admin, you can also mirror POL announcements on our main page, generally POL puts them up between 3-4am Pacific standard time. These pages must be fully protected with cascading turned on and mirror the POL page verbatim and contain a Protected-SE template at the bottom and placed in either Category:News, Category:Life in Vana'diel or Category:Special Events, depending on the type of announcement. The articles must be name in accordance with our news conventions (see Category:News for examples ) based on how PlayOnline titles them. Images must also be named like the article in numerical sequence. The images also need an Protected-SE template on them. The images do not need to be protected when the articles they are used on use cascading protection. Or you could be lazy and let gahoo do all the news.

We also recommend getting involved in our IRC channel, at irc://irc.ffochat.com/ffxiclopedia or join via http://irc.ffochat.com/ffxiclopedia if you lack an IRC client. Don't forget to register your nick!

If you have any questions about the aforementioned or otherwise, please feel free to ask myself or another admin.

Regards,

--CharitwoTalk 20:14, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Enjoyin it?

So, enjoying being amongst the ranks of the Jr. Admins like myself? I'm going to count on you to help me wade through the new update to make sure someone doesn't go making fake items... AGAIN. --Lordshadow 20:14, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Heh, that's one of the fun parts of the update: making all the new pages and fixing the ones others do incorrectly. :P --Kyrie 20:15, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
The not fun part is the checking against .dat mining lists to see if people are making stuff up or not. Someone tried to drop a TH+1 ring in there last update >_> --Lordshadow 20:42, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Get POLUtils, and /translate is also helpful. --CharitwoTalk 20:50, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Also, Kyrial, sign on IRC, you must join our wiki cabal! --CharitwoTalk 20:53, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
