??? HP
A = Aggressive; L = Links; S = Detects by Sight; H = Detects by Sound; HP = Detects Low HP; M = Detects Magic; Sc = Follows by Scent; T(S) = True-sight; T(H) = True-hearing; JA = Detects job abilities; WS = Detects weaponskills; Z(D) = Asleep in Daytime; Z(N) = Asleep at Nighttime

Notes:

  • Pop Spawn by trading Gnole Pellets to the ??? at (H-11).
  • This NM is constantly standing upwards. Seems to favor Asuran Claws TP attack over other TP attacks. Players can run out of range of this move (similar to throat stab from tonberries).
  • Uses Hundred Fists when HP is around 25%.
  • Easily defeated by 2 parties of 75. Preferred to use multiple Lv3 skillchains and magic bursts to take out extremely quickly. 2 Light skillchains with 2 blm bursting on each will nearly kill the NM. PLD tank highly recommended. Can be killed with a balanced party of 75s with some difficulty.
  • Can be duo'd easily by RDM/WHM (or /DRK) and SAM/WAR.
  • Will despawn after 3-5 minutes of being unclaimed.
  • Sothic Rope is not a 100% drop.
  • ??? repops 15 minutes after death or de-spawn.

Historical Background

Vulkodlac (more commonly Volkodlak) is a Slavic term that basically means "werewolf."
