Walkthrough
- Speak with Gentle Tiger (S) in Bastok Markets (S) (H-6) to receive a Sack of Victuals key item. It is not necessary to zone or wait one Vana'diel day.
- Speak with Roderich in North Gustaberg (S) (E-11) for another cutscene. - Fastest route would be to use Allied Notes to warp to North Gustaberg (S). Roderich is directly behind you.
- Return to Bastok Markets (S) and speak with Gentle Tiger (S) for the next cutscene.
- Zone into Xarcabard (S) to receive a Commander's Endorsement key item to trigger the next fight.
- If you need a new Commander's Endorsement you can get one from Gentle Tiger (S).
- You don't need to wait until the next game day to obtain a new Commander's Endorsement.
- Check the Forbidding Portal at (I-7) in the northwest quadrant to view a cutscene. (mind the Savage Ruszors)
- When you're ready, check the Forbidding Portal again to enter the battlefield in Everbloom Hollow against Klara.
- Return to Bastok (S) and speak with Gentle Tiger (S) for another cutscene and your reward.
Fight
- Klara has approximately 25,000 HP (732 Atonement did 3% damage).
- Attacks fairly fast and uses sword weapon skills such as Savage Blade, Swift Blade, and Circle Blade. The last one, while it doesn't do much damage, is especially annoying because it wipes shadows. Double Attacks.
- Immune to Stun.
- Can be Paralyzed, Slowed, Poisoned, Bioed, Diaed, Flashed easily.
- Her normal hits were doing 50-100 on an Aegis PLD/NIN. Weapon skills varied from low double digits to a spike of 400+.
- Has strange hate calculations. Any type of enhancing magic with a long cast time (Stoneskin/Regen III) brought her over immediately to the caster. She would then stun the caster with Flat Blade (apparently regardless of TP). Running out of range seemed to help, should the caster wish to refresh their own buffs.
- At about 50% HP, she used some sort of 2hr ability though chat filters prevented me from seeing what it was. It wasn't Invincible or Perfect Dodge, and I didn't see any sort of Hundred Fists speed. My best guess, based on her Double Attack is that she is a Warrior and her 2hr is Mighty Strikes.
- She starts using a WS called Temblor Blade after her 2hr. It appeared to be an AOE WS with an added effect of Petrification. It is definitely magic damage, as it went right through Invincible. It hit for 351 both times she used it. She used it again within less than a minute, so have some method to deal with the Petrification.
- Temblor Blade also seems to reset hate. Immediately upon using it, she ran at the WHM, who had been out of range of the AoE.
- She cannot be kited. With 12% movement speed and a good head start she caught up easily.
- Buffs remain upon entry. Exp is lost upon death. Reraise wears off once teleported from the battle (if everyone dies).
